The BOYA BY-CM5 is a USB condenser microphone that produces high-quality sound in a variety of recording applications, including podcasting, live-streaming, home-studio recording, video conference calls, and more. Simply put in the accompanying USB-A and USB-C cables and you’re ready to go. The BY-CM5 is compatible with the majority of Android smartphones, tablets with USB-C ports, as well as PC and Mac/Windows desktops. In addition to being easy to use, the BY-CM5 includes the following features to suit recording demands. The BY-CM5 is designed with a touch to click to allow users to effortlessly convert between cardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns. Use the cardioid mode to reject off-axis noise, reducing room tone even when speaking straight into the microphone. It is appropriate for podcasting, as well as vocal and instrument recording. Choose an omnidirectional pattern to collect audio from all sides of the capsule, which is ideal for work that includes numerous voices, such as interviews and video conferences. Users can manage all recording capabilities from a single knob, thanks to the inclusion of a multipurpose knob. Three separate color lights, blue, purple, and red, are utilized to symbolize different mic controls. The default option is a solid blue light that indicates headphone volume control. To silence the microphone, short-press the knob, and the light will turn red. Press and hold the knob for 2 seconds to toggle between gain control and the headphone volume control, which is illuminated in solid purple.
